Our Newest Obsession - The Galley Sink

I am getting very excited to attend KBIS (the Kitchen & Bath Industry Show) next week. One of the most important parts of attending KBIS is seeing the new products that are on the market and creating relationships with vendors. One of the more exciting products that I am starting to use in my kitchen design projects is the Galley Sink. Although expensive, this sink is an amazing workhorse. I frequently place kitchen sinks in islands, often with great trepidation from clients. They fear everyone will see dirty dishes and it will be a mess. The Galley Sink makes this fear a thing of the past. Utilizing the larger version (four feet or longer), families prep, clean, and serve all from one place. The dishes can be hidden in a pinch and there is still room to use the sink. I am not sure I would use it for serving, but you never know. I actually had a very intense discussion with husband about how we could retrofit one into our peninsula. Unfortunately, I would have to sacrifice my beautiful soapstone countertop, which is not an option. Although this is a pricey sink, I think it is worth every penny. I have custom designed two kitchens with the Galley sink and the clients love it. I create a custom cabinet that houses trash and recycling bins and multiple storage accessories underneath. I truly love this sink.
